    Your Role and Responsibilities
    In this Financial Payments Test Specialist Role, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality releases of the Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) suite of products. The role involves analysing/understanding banking system requirements, regulations and applying software test methodologies to identify complex issues, working with stakeholders to resolve and ensure high quality releases to Customers.
    – Analyse banking business requirements and functional specifications and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
    – Analyse complex banking software and apply rigorous test procedures to ensure functional compliance to Banking Industry mandates.
    – Collaborate with test team, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
    – Develop test plans and strategies tailored to banking software requirements.
    – Execute test cases to verify the functionality and usability of banking software applications.
    – Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
    – Identify, document, and track defects through development lifecycle.
    – Identify and implement QA process improvements as required.
    – Communicate with product developers, project managers, team leads and stakeholders.
    – Provide status reports on testing progress, including metrics such as test coverage, defect density, and test execution results.
    – Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and best practices for software testing.
    – Keep abreast of Industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing and banking.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

     

    • Strong Banking Software Quality Assurance / Analysis experience
    • Deep understanding of Banking Industry Regulations/Mandates
    • Banking Industry Test experience
    • Banking Industry Test Analysis experience
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of banking processes and regulations.
    • Linux/UNIX skills
    • Debugging skills
    • Database skills (DB2, Oracle, MySQL etc)
    • Experience with Agile Methodologies
    • Ability to collaborate meaningfully and respectfully in a team environment under high pressure.
    • Ability to work independently and proactively.
    • Self-Starter, quick learner of technology, who is also excited in mentoring and transferring knowledge, be able to multi-task
    • Genuine interest in solving customer issues and software quality
    • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Environment setup and troubleshooting skills.
    • API testing skills (SoapUI, Postman, Newman etc)
    • Container skills (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift etc.)
    • Test Automation experience (Selenium WebDriver, Playwright etc)
    • JAVA/JavaScript experience
    • Ability to see clarity in complex situations.
    • Flexible and willing to adapt to quickly changing product requirements.
    • Proven ability to work on multiple projects.
